Natanael Philippe, better known as Natan the prophet, was born on January 8, 1987, in the Dominican Republic. He is the third of five siblings and grew up in Santo Domingo, the son of Haitian parents. From a young age, he showed an affinity for music, especially Rap, after listening to the music of the rapper Vico C, who became his major musical influence.
In 2003, he formed a Christian rap group called "los profetas" and began writing and recording Christian lyrics. In 2005, he met Francia Klin Pérez (Sr Perez) in a neighborhood called San Luis. Sr Pérez, also a Christian, and Natan began recording songs together. In 2006, Sr Pérez formed the Christian rap group called "Aposento Alto," comprised of Esteban Philippe (El Philippe), Noemí Martine (La Noe), Francis Omar (Viskel), and Osiris Rincon (Lors).
Their first musical album was released in the summer of 2008, titled "A precio de Sangre." In 2010, their second album titled "El último testamento" was released, followed by their third album titled "Tratado en Audio" in 2012. Their last album as Aposento Alto was released on July 1, 2016, titled "Almas." Aposento Alto also released 3 mixtapes and a series of 4 songs titled "La Bomba."
Currently, Natan is working independently. In 2019, he released his first solo album titled "Oveja entre Lobos," featuring hits like "Mi Fe," "Levantate," "Pa Loco," and "Cabecea." In 2023, he launched his second album titled "Púrpura," with hits like "Amor encubierto" and "Testimonio," among others. He is recognized as the most influential Dominican Christian rapper in the Dominican Republic and one of the most popular in Latin America.
